Essentially, I had no idea how to study for this test before taking the prep course. I was intimidated and didn’t know where to start. Definitely, I know exactly how to study for the test after completion of the Princeton Review course. I felt comfortable with most of the material and knew where I needed to focus. On test day, I went in feeling confident. The teachers were very friendly and knowledgeable in their respective fields. They provided many helpful tips and tricks to maximize my score. The teachers genuinely cared about helping the students achieve their full potential. Many had decades of experience teaching which was evident by how effectively they explained challenging concepts. The LiveOnline course was the perfect fit for me. I enjoyed the pace and structure.
I felt like I was wonderfully prepared for the trials ahead. I was worried since my first few practice tests were extremely low, but as I grew more confident in the strategies, I felt my self-confidence blossom. I think the grueling program is entirely reflective of the time you put in as well. I had to make sure I was putting in the homework and prep work for that work. The structure of the course helped guide me to a work ethic that helped find the flow that I wanted to reach my target score. I loved my 6 LiveOnline teachers. They were incredibly insightful, and were well knowledgeable in their respective fields. I felt comfortable asking them questions and had a great time taking classes from them. I really appreciate the program I took! It not only taught me many things about the 4 sections, but also about myself-how I study, how I learn, how I grow my self-confidence.
The Princeton Review gave me a comprehensive overview of the test subjects and consistently helped me refine my skills. My practice test scores were 501, 505, 512, and 518 showing how my goal was achieved gradually over the course. The Princeton Review helped me achieve above and beyond the goal that I set for myself. I am not a biology major or even a chemistry major, I am a civil engineering major. When I took the MCAT, I had taken one biology class in college. I had not taken biochemistry or even the second semester of organic chemistry. The last time I had been in a psychology or sociology classroom was in high school. The Princeton Review filled in all of these gaps, and it did so during a semester when I was already taking 15 hours. I cannot applaud the program enough for its efficiency and effectiveness in preparing students for the MCAT.
David Dodd, our professor for CARS, was very passionate and inspired diligence and determination in doing well on the MCAT. He was very clearly invested in our success and taught in a way that was beneficial and clear. It was a great experience.
Dr. Zahra Dezhahang, the instructor covering the chemistry portion of the MCAT material, was very helpful in her lectures. I especially appreciate the way she rallied for class participation and kept our attention while dealing with an online platform.
I was someone whose biggest struggle was figuring out how to use strategy in order to increase my score for the MCAT. Dr. H was instrumental in helping me nail down where my energy would be best utilized for studying in order to see the results necessary to get where I wanted to be. He also greatly improved my self-confidence through his teaching methods, helping me prove to myself that I was capable of doing well which has truly made all the difference.
Needed help with preparing for the MCAT and used Princeton Reviews preparation class. I had a good experience and by the end I was averaging 515 on my AAMC practice exams. Don't have the results on the official exam yet, but I felt much more confident than the first time I took it. Specifically I felt like the sessions with Hajira Ahmed, Daniel Nasim, and Tori Scorsese were particularly helpful. The course was expensive, but I felt well prepared by the end.
I took the MCAT 513 Prep Course, and well, I feel pretty prepared! I still have about two weeks before I take my exam again, but compared to last time, I feel significantly more prepared. Some classes were rushed, while others weren't rushed enough, but overall it was beneficial to my learning. Anthony Mondragon was my favorite instructor due to his diligence in covering new content in each class and didn't make many subjects "self-study". I greatly appreciated his efficiency and expertise in his subject (Biology/Biochemistry). While not all of these instructors are professors, per se, they still get the job done.I also enjoyed Kathleen Bennallack instructing Psychology/Sociology. She was laid back and it never felt like I was falling behind. She was also very encouraging and just a joy to learn with. Maybe that's because of her subject, but whatever the reason, I always looked forward to her classes. Some self-study subjects were a bit annoying, and some other things weren't explained in the best ways possible, but as I stated before, they are not university professors. Don't expect university classes or the best instructors, and you'll be good.
Princeton Review's MCAT 513+ Prep Course was an excellent investment. I appreciated how our classes and assignments focused on mastering high-yield MCAT topics as well as efficiency and strategy. I also found the AAMC materials provided were excellent tools that have undoubtedly enhanced my preparation experience. I am so glad I chose to prep with Princeton Review.
It was a great experience. I loved how every single one of the instructors was at all disposition to explain and how they encouraged us to keep moving forward. The course not only has helped me get my MCAT score higher but also helped a lot with my distribution of time.
The classes were interactive and in detail.
I've had a great time with Dr. Afuwape in both her Bio/Biochem course and Organic Chemistry course. Her teaching methods allowed me to understand the concepts in the way they are applied on the MCAT. The classes with her are also always energetic and lively, which makes the sometimes tedious material easy to engage with! I'd recommend her to anyone in need of MCAT Prep guidance.
Dr. Dezhahang was very receptive of the classes' needs and was amply able to help guide us through organic chem in accordance with the MCAT's requirements.
